The 2026 George Johnson and Connie Huntbach Cups
The day before the tournament, heavy torrential rain threatened to completely wash out the 2026 George Johnson and Connie Huntbach Cups. With thunderous showers predicted, discussion turned to whether the events should be postponed entirely. Lesley Davenport raised concerns over potential low turnout and suggested moving the games back a week, but Sue Condrey advocated for pushing forward. Ultimately, the organisers took a massive gamble and decided to let the morning reveal their fate.

Audlem Bowling Club welcomes its 100th member
Audlem and District Bowling Club is celebrating a landmark 2026 season, reaching 101 members after welcoming 26 newcomers to the green.

Jimmy Stretch & Keith Thelwell clinch Audlem Bowling Club Charity Plate
Jimmy Stretch and Keith Thelwell staged a phenomenal late-game comeback to claim the Audlem and District Bowling Club Charity Plate, defeating Andy Watson and David Davenport 10-5. Held in loving memory of former A-team captain Michael Katterloher, the spirited tournament raised vital funds for AMMF.

Adam Thelwell beaten finalist annual Crewe Cancer Cup Bowls Tournament
Jason Williams of Malbank Bowling Club clinched the prestigious annual Cancer Cup at Crewe Bowling Club, defeating Audlem's Adam Thelwell in a thrilling final. The competitive tournament, which featured a tense opening-round clash between the Thelwell brother, successfully raised vital funds for Cancer Research UK.

On Wednesday, 29th July, the green at Audlem Bowling Club was filled with chatter, applause, and plenty of good-natured competition as the club had the absolute pleasure of hosting a special visit for the Audlem District Community Action Group (ADCA).

With a vibrant membership of nearly 100 people and a history stretching back over 75 years, Audlem & District Bowling Club is officially ready for the 2026 season. Following a successful committee meeting this February, the club is debuting a modernized look and a record-breaking league lineup.

Dave Hickson Doubles – Drama on the Green
Condrey and Sturdy Edge Out Rivals in Club Thriller. The momentum at Audlem Bowling Club is officially in overdrive! Following a spectacular season opener on March 8th, 32 players returned to the green on March 22, 2026, for the second club competition of the year, the Dave Hickson Doubles.
